Not quite 'Sounds of Summer,' but actually an April adventure for our first time to Thailand in 2013.
First, a few nights in Bangkok, an awesome place for street photography, experiencing crazy clubs, the public transport, markets, regular massage, fish massage, street food - especially mango and sticky rice...
Next up was Koh Samet island, a few hours bus and ferry ride and a popular weekend vacation for the locals. We stayed at a lush but simple resort at one end of the island. You could walk the single road to town and stop at many places along the way for cocktails and fresh food. Thai cooking lessons at the hotel was fun too.
Unfortunately the trip was marred by a scooter accident where I ripped off one of my knees... Most importantly my wife was ok - she was on the back - and luckily it happened right opposite the only medical centre... I was on crutches for the rest of the trip and had to get regular treatments, so I got lots of reading done 😜
Looking forward to visiting Thailand again!!
